Forte participates in various collaborations, projects and networks that aim to increase efforts and knowledge exchange in the global arena.

Intsam – National coordination for collaborations
outside Europe

Intsam is a coordinating function for funding of international research and innovation collaborations outside the EU. Intsam is led by Vinnova. Forte, the Swedish Research Council, Formas, the Swedish Space Agency and the Swedish Energy Agency are all involved in Intsam.

Ensuring Value in Research (EViR)

Forte is a member of an international network of research funders; Ensuring Value in Research (EViR), established 2016. The network’s goal is to share experiences and knowledge and develop new ways to increase the benefits of funded research. Forte participates in EViR’s steering group and thus constitutes a central role in the planning and development work of the network itself.

Coalition S

Since 2018, Coalition S has been working to achieve full and immediate open access to research publications. Forte has been a member of the coalition since 2019.

Forte and Open Science

CoARA

Forte is a member of CoARA (the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment), an international initiative that aims to reform research assessment in order to improve the quality, transparency and impact of research.

Indian collaboration for ageing and health

In 2015, Forte signed an agreement with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for research collaboration in the field of ageing and health. The collaboration has, among other things, resulted in two calls for proposals with focus on research and research needs in ageing and health.
