How to apply for a grant
When it is possible to apply for a grant, we publish a call for proposals here on our website. To apply for funding from Forte, you need to use our application system Prisma.
Please note that the application process can take considerable time, so ensure you begin the process early.

Are you eligible to apply for funding?
Financing from Forte is applied for in open competition. Most of Forte’s grant types are aimed at individuals. A basic requirement is that the main applicant must have an awarded doctoral degree.

Create a Prisma account
Prisma is the joint application system for Forte, Formas and the Swedish Research Council. Through a single account in Prisma, you can manage your applications with all three research councils.

Create and fill in your application
In order to submit an application, you fill out the application form in Prisma linked to the call and the grant type that you are interested in.

Register your application
Once you have completed your application and filled in all the mandatory information, you must register it. Your administrating organisation must then sign the application within seven days after the call has closed; otherwise, your application will not proceed to the review process.
