Rules on grants from other funding organisations

You cannot receive a grant from Forte for research that is already funded by other means. If your research is awarded other funding, you must inform us, and the grant may then be reviewed.

You cannot receive a grant for research that is also funded by another grant. This means that funds from Forte must not be used for costs or activities that are covered by other grants.

It is usually permitted to apply for funding for the same research in several calls for proposals or from several funding organisations, but if you are awarded multiple grants for the same research, you may not accept more than one of them. The eligibility criteria for a call for proposals are always set out in the call text. You must always state in your application whether you have applied for or received funding elsewhere for similar research.

If you have received or are receiving other funding for the research that Forte is funding, you must notify us immediately. The notification must provide a detailed description of the costs and activities covered under each grant.

If we find that a grant has been awarded for research that is simultaneously funded by other sources for the same costs or activities, we reserve the right to review our grant decision. Such a review may result in the grant being reduced or terminated.

Forte carries out checks to ensure that the same research is not funded more than once.
